WINTER 2018 SCHEDULE

January 13--ECW Monthly Meeting

The ECW meets upstairs in Orvis hall the second Sunday of each month between the morning services (approximately at 9 a.m.). All are welcome!

January 13--Presentation by Pastor Martha on Her Africa Trip at 12 p.m.

January 20--Vestry Meeting 6:00 p.m/ (Finance mets at 5:30 p.m.)

January 27--Combined Service at 9 a.m. with Brunch and Annual Parish Meeting Following

In place of the usual 8 a.m. & 10 a.m. services we will have ONE service at 9 a.m. followed by a brunch and then the Annual Parish Meeting.

January 27--Movie Night (Potluck at 4 p.m., Movie at 3:30 p.m.)

Lion (Rated PG-13) A five-year-old Indian boy gets lost on the streets of Calcutta, thousands of kilometers from home.  He survives many challenges before being adopted by a couple in Australia. 25 years later, he sets out to find his lost family.

February 15 & 16--Vestry Retreat

Annual Vestry Retreat at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Friday 6-9 p.m.and Saturday     9 a.m.-3 p.m. Meals provided.

February 17--Vestry Meeting 6:00 m (Finance meets at 5:00 pm)

February 24--Movie Night (Potluck at 4 p.m., Movie at 5:00 p.m.)

Wonder (Rated PG) Based on the New York Times bestseller, this movie tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters the fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time

March 4--Just for Fun Dinner

For those interested, we will have a just-for-fun dinner at Noah's Ark Restaurant 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 4. Come socialize and enjoy the delicious pizza and Italian dishes. This event is open to everyone but reservations are required in order for the restaurant to accommodate our group. Please RSVP by Sunday, Feb. 24 to Dash Kelley at dashlekelley@gmail.com.

March 5--Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

This year's supper will be raising money for EFOGE, to provide education to girls in Kenya. Join us for pancakes, sausage, milk, juice & coffee on Shrove Tuesday from    5 p.m.-7 p.m. upstairs in Orvis Hall. We will be cooking and serving dinner and enjoying great fellowship! Suggested donation of $5 per person or $12 per family. Extra hands are needed to help with cooking and clean-up. If you would like to help please contact Angela in the parish office (277-0875).

March 6--Ash Wednesday Service with Imposition of Ashes at 9:30 a.m.

March 8--Stations of the Cross Begin

Join us for Stations of the Cross every Friday in Lent at 7:00 p.m. in the Nave.

March 9--St. Luke's Craft Day

Do you have a craft project that you need to finish? Do you want to try something new but don't know where to start? Or do you just want to spend some time with crafty people? Please come join us on March 9th from 9-3. Come and go as you want, bring some snacks to share, and of course your supplies and imagination! There will be a community support project to work on if you don't have anything to do and the company will be fantatstic! If you have questions, see Susan Mathison.

March 11-Lenten Study:  Life Together 6:00-7:00 p.m

Join us for a Discipleship Study of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's book Life Together, which is considered a classic work on fostering an authentic Christian community. Each week we will examine a chapter so it will be important to purchase the book in advance and have read the first chapter before the study begins. This study meets Monday evenings during Lent through April 8th.
